History of Yoga Therapy
Yoga has been used in traditional Indian medicine for thousands of years. However, Yoga therapy in its present form is a new discipline, created by the marriage of traditional Yoga with modern medicine. Swami Kuvalyananda pioneered Yoga therapy in the early 1920s, applying the methods of modern medical science to study the physiological effects and therapeutic application of Yoga and, in the following decades, his practices spread to the rest of India & World.

Yoga Therapy Application
Yoga comprises of a wide range of mental and physical practices, ranging from postural and breathing exercises to deep relaxation and meditation. Yoga therapy promotes total health along with specific ailments. Yoga offers an excellent training program for the purpose of maintaining one's health. Regular practice of Yoga not only helps in developing a physical fitness but also, in preventing the occurrence of many such ailments, which invariably result from hectic pace of modern life style.
